Innocent Question 9

Can lightning stikes sideways?

If so, and you're stuck in a small room with open windows and doors, do you stand a high chance of being striked by lightning?

Why do people say we might get electrocuted if we shower when it's raining? Because water conducts electricity? Then what if we drink water in that small room just now?

Johnson: No. You don't see a lightning striking horizontally do you?
QueenPig: But lightning strikes diagonally, no?
Alicia: Ya, there's a report of someone strike by lighning when he/she stands by a window when it's raining outside.
QueenPig: And the door is wide open!
Johnson: And the door is wide open! I'm going to use this like a vulgarity.

Once again, I can only conclude that I have weird friends.
