你淘宝了吗?Have you Taobao-ed?
淘宝 Taobao is the famous online shopping site for China.
I would have to say, given the massive population of China, 淘宝 Taobao is definitely the ingenious solution to comfortable shopping.
Minus the crowd, minus the chance of being pickpocketed, minus the mind-boggling haggling. What else can we ask for?
And because the webby is all in Chinese, here's a little step-by-step guide to shop at 淘宝 Taobao! ^^
Step 1: Access
淘宝 Taobao. You will see the above homepage.
Step 2: Scroll down and you'll see the big block of words like above. Look for the one you want. Circled in the picture is the section on Men's and Women's clothes. Click on the relevant.
Step 3: A pop-up will appear. In the areas circled in the picture, you can search via location and order it in order of price etc. Usually I choose Shanghai (duh, I'm in Shanghai!) and choose to order it in order of seller's reputation.
Step 4: Click on an item you like and another pop-up will appear. As shown, you can click on where the item is going to arrive to and look at the postage. Take note of the 快递 price, and not the 平邮 as the latter takes a million years.
Step 5: Scroll further down the page and click on the orange button as shown. This will bring you into the shop. The more you buy from a particular shop, the more power we have to ask for discounts (either for the items, or for the postage). Do read the introductions as some shops offer free postage for more than 2 or 3 items. :)
That's all! If you have any wants, do let QueenPig know by 15th June! ^^
