森林公园

If you remember, sometime in March, I blogged about 世纪公园. Shanghai is full of parks and gardens, and 森林公园 is just another one of them.

For some obscure reasons (maybe 'cos it's the Qing Ming Festival, but hey, aren't they suppose to be at the cemetries instead?), the park was PACKED.

Even the wedding couples are there la! There are so many of them, they made me wonder if it's a double auspicious day.

The entrance fee to this park is slightly more than expensive at 15 RMB. In addition, the park is at some 'ulu pandan' (read: secluded) place. Judging from my personal experience inside, it is certainly not worth it.

At the entrance, like at any other entrances, you can find a map. But 森林公园 has a map for the blind! WOW.

See what I meant by PACKED?

It seems as if the whole China population was at 森林公园 that day!

And Chinese being Chinese, they brough their own plastic mats, food, tents, kites, badminton equipment etc etc.

Hordes and hordes of people! >.<

Although it was some couple of months since CNY, the CNY-looking rats are still carrying the sedan. Poor rats. *Aww...*

Heeheehee... stickmen working hard! ^^

It's a fish in the sky, AGAIN!

There's a mini amusement park inside, which is totally not exciting. Tickets for the rides are sold separately.

Pirate ship! Whee~

This is some spinning musical thingy. Doesn't look scary right?

But the girls are all screaming their heads off!

And there's this water ride thingy that gets you wet! >.<

The park is pretty big, so why do I say it's uninteresting?

'Cos between every 'site', it's stretches and stretches of roads with nothing to see.

Even the baby is so bored she's making funy faces to entertain herself.

*whistles*

Row, row, row your boat
Gently out to sea~

Whee~ so sweet! ^^

Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily
Gently out to sea~

Flying fox, which didn't get anyone screaming, but had everyone put on a blur look after the ride.
As we found a place to start eating, Hyper Ed started doing weird 'gym' stunts on Bolin.

And Bolin had his revenge!

Kian Tong the Nice tearing the garbage bag for us to sit on to makan.

Yummy egg sandwich. So yummy you can see Big Sister gobbling it down in the background.

One of my spring love! :D

If there's one thing that China parks don't lack, it's FLOWERS.

More wedding couples. I wonder how the bride got up the tree!

Haha! You thought it was one couple, didn't you? There were two at that very same spot!

Who'll want to get married and have pictures taken together with another couple? I'm sure I don't.

Anyway, just to digress a little, it was the first time I see CLEAR BLUE SKY in China, especially after the long winter days.

Yipee! *skips around*

So we found a more secluded spot. Being young *ahem* and hyper, we all started jumping around.

Oh well, actually only the guys jumped around. :X

Stuntman Bolin with dearie Peylun looking scared!

They survived, giving a victory sign!

But someone in green just flew overhead!

And another!

And another!

Dearie Peylun: "Oh no!"

The Man-in-Green wants his face to be seen, so he tried again!

But it's fated that those in green are too 'long' and often go out of the shot. Too bad for Big Sister who was wearing green too.

Hyper Ed imitating "卧虎藏龙"!

Somehow.. these pictures all look like some Nike advertisements...

This picture exists because I want a picture of the clear blue sky!

Wah! Olympics! :X

The sacrifice... Tsk tsk tsk...

For this stunt, the stuntmen are supposed to slap all three hands while jumping.

Hyper Ed upped the challenge by slapping four hands!

Survival is sweet!

Braving themselves for the terrific jump...

And hooray! There goes Big Sister! :D

Hyper Ed upped the challenge again. He's going to jump and slap the three hands and grab the wallet from Bolin's hands... and HE DID IT! *cheers*

Ha! Me being a typical cam-whore. But all I wanted was the clear blue sky with me, really!

I tried a bottoms-up picture... but the moment they saw me posing, everyone just rushed in! And there goes my face behind Bolin's...

Finally, in sync! ^^

But this angle really made everyone look rounder! >.<

More couples!

I swear this is not posed! They look really sweet yea? :D

We proceeded to find the waterfall.. only to be greeted by this mini man-made waterfall. *sigh*

The Chinese, being typical Chinese, washed their shoes at the waterfall! >.<

Kids at the bench.

For some reason, it's sweet but yet it looks wrong!

Waterfall? I don't see the water crashing!

Nice weather to laze in the sun!

Another couple hanky-panky-ing in the shades...

The guy actually had the girl go get something for him lor! Eeyer.. where got lidat! >.<

Daisies! ^^

One more wedding shoot. With the entire crew!

Sorry bride, tak-glam. :x

There's horse riding, but it looks really boring? 'Cos it's just round and round the tracks...

Ermz... I have no idea what this is, but it does look like some house we used to draw...

As you can see, there's alot of cam-whoring shots. Goes to show how boring this place is.

So people, if you have to choose, do give 森林公园 a miss! ^^
