Innocent Question 29

Why is that sometimes I wake up without knowing that I did? Cute QQ says she wakes me up to have me glance, grunt and go back to sleep.

Why is that sometimes I wake up to think that I'm dreaming? There's once I saw Teako Buddy in the room, but thought that I'm dreaming. I looked at him and went back to sleep.

Why is that sometimes a dream can be so realistic that I thought that it's real? Like today, I dreamt that I was asking Cute QQ about her dinner. She said something about "ba poke" noodles. I got a shock and saw her sitting at the same spot she appeared in my dream!

Know why I've been having questions about sleeping? I've been sick for the week thus far. I had fever on Monday, which returned today. Grr...

Note: Would you call a person "King" just to get some money? There's this 40-year-old man from JB who's giving out RM100, RM50 and RM10 to those who call him "King"!

Innocent Question 28

How do you tell if you have been breathing through your nose or mouth when you are sleeping?

My guess? When you wake up with nose shit, then you probably breathed through your nose the previous night. This will also mean that your mouth was closed. Check your pillow for saliva 'markings'. You probably wouldn't see any.

If you wake up with no nose shit, look at your pillow! You must have drooled while breathing through your mouth the night before.

Hm... what if you find both nose shit and saliva 'markings'?

What will you be like when you are 28?

A gathering yesterday scared the Piggy Soul out of me. A lady, supposedly in her late twenties, appeared to me to be over 35.

Eew, I'm sure I don't want to be like her when I reached that stage! *rushes off to peer into the magic mirror*

Innocent Question 26

Why are some Singaporeans so apathetic?

The extent?

When I reached home today, Piggy Mummy told me that someone (an Indian man, she said) jumped to his death at my block yesterday, 6 p.m. My dad was at the lift lobby when the man landed metres away from him.

Bad luck? Not so. Another woman was a step from where the man landed. Had she walked a little faster, she would be squashed by the man.

I just realised I should use victim instead of man. Sounded kinda rude... and heartless (Cute QQ, stop nodding your head!)

My dad was shocked. He walked in a daze back home and told my mum about it. They decided to call the police. I was like "What? You mean up till then, nobody called the police?!"

Piggy Mummy said she looked out of the window and saw people walking past the bloody body (pun unintended) without so much of a glance. Despite the brain matter spilling out and blood splattered everywhere, there were a few kids looking on.

Yucks. If such a thing happened to me, I'll definitely call the police and pull the kids away from the scene, provided I'm not too much of a shock.

Someone tell me why those people didn't inform the relevant authorities! What would you do if you saw an accident/suicide/emergency?

Innocent Question 25

Assume a person blind from birth. Does he dream in pictures? These picture in his dreams, how alike are they to the pictures we have when we dream?

I think they dream in terms of sounds and touches. There's no way their pictures are going to be like us, not even the outlines, 'cos they have literally see before. But Cute QQ believes that they dream in whatever they perceive.

Why are girls' toilets pink and guys' toilets blue?

It starts from young: girlie babies in pinkie towels, boyish babies in blue. At least that's what it looks like on TV.

Not-girl, not-guy how ar? White? Mix pink and blue to get purple (why like this! I love purple!)?

Blah.. senseless ranting... why nobody comment! Or is it nobody reads my blog?

What the difference between "expiry date" and "best before XXYYZZ"?

I think "expiry date" means after that date, you are advised not to take the food/use the product. Whereas for "best before XXYYZZ", you can eat/use at your own risk (a little like the law of diminishing returns, this time against time instead of quantity).

What's the big thing about turning 21?

Is it the party? The presents? Or the company?

Innocent Question 19

What the obsession with vulgarities?

If society is supposed to advance, why do we still do this... spouting uneducated and uncivilised words? Or am I wrong all along?

My buddy tells me it's an expression of frustration. But hey! "Fuck" doesn't mean anything else other than "having sex", in a crude way! Neither does "tmd" solve any problem! Cute QQ's friend said all vulgarities were substituted with 臭鸡蛋. But at least it just means rotten eggs.

Yes, I'm anal. Never say vulgarities in front of me (and definitely not aimed at me) 'cos I'll just look down on you. Not to mention banish (bleah, you may have a chance to come back if you humour me enough) you from Piggidom. :P

P.S. I mistook a tube top as an undie yesterday at my school bazaar. Alicia laughed and laughed and laughed... ("Who wears an undie like this? Cover what?")

Not Thinking University

You know, I'm beginning to detest school.

Oh wait. Correction: I'm beginning to detest the university admin.

It's great that we don't have bidding, 'cos I'm pigging sure I'll never understand the system and get the modules that I want. The STARS seems like a perfect tool; simple to use and convenient.

But what happens when the system goes bonkers? Like registering good Year 2 kids as Year 3, and result in them risk forgoing registration?

Worse, after 'discovering' and correcting the mistake, they switched the number 2 back to 3? And happily denied these poor kids from their electives?

Pig-Off, you mad moo moo admin!

And if that's not enough, the mad moo moo admin (hereby referred to as MMMA) is not doing ANYTHING to help! So what if MMMA gives us an add/drop period? All the popular modules are taken up! We had better chance if we're still in the freaking waitlist!

Pig-Off, I say, PIG-OFF!

The next brainless thing that they do? The STARS appeal system. The guranteed us a reply in 3 working days. You know what that means?

IT MEANS, YOU WILL GET A MESSAGE READING "WE HAVE FORWARDED YOUR REQUEST TO THE RELEVANT SCHOOL AND THEY WILL SEE TO YOUR REQUEST."

Argh! Ultimate stupidity! They must have all failed comprehension in primary school. Perhaps they failed listening comprehension too, judging from the fact that they can absolutely miss the students' cries of help.

So what if many of us have less than the required 16AUs? So what if you are a double major student and your second major electives are registered as Unrestricted (meaning you have to queue along with others)? So what if you can't graduate in time? Good for Not Thinking University! 'Cos they can collect more school fees?

SCHOOL FEES! Another pigging issue! MMMA, if you still haven realise how difficult it is for POOR students to attend school (no, loans don't help), can you jolly well empty your pockets and help us?

And MONEY! It takes so many freaking documents and procedures to reimburse money. And yet it takes millions of years to get the money back. And I think they even lost some of the forms! Grr... Actually I think they are overworking the poor girl. Why can't they employ/transfer another person to help her? We can all be happier!

Back to STARS. What we really want and really need is our subjects. Does it even cost you anything to extend some classes by 3-4 places so we can take them? We understand class size needs to be small for some, but I don't see much difference between 15 and 18, do you?

*grunt* I've been resisting the urge to rant for ultra long ('cos hall server, for some reason, don't allow us to blog).

Now, for some ACTION.

Blog about Not Thinking University and it's MMMA if you are pissed too. We shall let them see how many dissatisfied students they are breeding. Hm... maybe if the numbers get large enough, we can start a petition to sack the MMMA! (Gah.. this is almost impossible.)

Why is it that some guys just don't know how to be a gentleman?

Why is that so many guys in UNIVERSITY (assumed to be civilised and educated)
walk out of the lift first,
let the lift doors close on girls,
don't offer to help girls-in-need (okay, this is not important),
don't hold doors open for them, let doors swing into people's faces,
don't pull out chairs for females at social occasions,
don't bathe (or put on perfume),
and loads more?

Gallantry is not only male-female. It should apply male-male too.

We need a compulsory lesson on gallantry in modern society.

If yawning is contagious, then shouldn't yawning be a disease?

If yawning IS a disease, what will it be called?
1. Yawn-cer (as in, cancer)
2. Yawn-betes (as in, diabetes)
3. Yawn-cident (as in, accident? But accidents aren't diseases...)
4. Yawn-citis (as in, tuberculosis)
5. Yaw-u (as in, flu)
6. Yaw-ugh (as in, cough)

I can't stop myself from yawning, especially when I'm in enclosed spaces. How? :(
