Solution time!

Remember the maths question I posted last week? Just to recap:

There are 7 girls in a bus.
Each girl has 7 backpacks .
In each backpack, there are 7 big cats.
For every big cat there are 7 little cats.
Question: How many legs are there on the bus?

Want the solution?

Number of girls = 7
Number of backpacks = 7 x 7
Number of big cats = 7 x 7 x 7
Number of little cats = 7 x 7 x 7 x 7
Total number of legs = (7 x 2) + (7 x 7 x 7 x 4) + (7 x 7 x 7 x 7 x 4) = 14 + 1 372 + 9 604
= 10 990

Busy!

I know I haven't been blogging as much as I should. There's tons of photos (Wuxi, Botanical gardens, Nanjing etc) and I have no idea which to put up. Plus, I have quite a number of reports due! *pulls hairs*

Bear with the lack of updates and pictures for now! I will *soon* sort and post them up! So, for the moment, here's three night pictures I took at Nanjing!


What's new - dragons again!

We don't get to see bright neon lights everywhere like this in Singapore, do we?


You can't see from the picture, but it's raining. That's prolly why the reflections in the water aren't very clear.

Dog shit

I was at 西藏南路 metro station to change from Line 4 to Line 8 on my way to work this morning, but I smelt dog shit the moment I stepped into the Line 8 boundaries.

I looked around, wondering if it's only me, or if others smelt it too. Everyone else walked on. Nobody (except me) was pinching their noses.

And silly me. Guess what I did?


I thought I stepped on doggie poo unknowingly in the train. So I sat down and checked my shoes, but didn't find anything. I even smelt my jacket and looked at my butt and legs area of my jeans lah!

Somebody sat down beside me. Fearing that I am emitting the smell, I walked far far away. I was totally embarrassed!

But of course, the mysterious dog shit smell disappeared when I was in the train.

*totally paranoid*

我是一棵大树之轮回

我是一棵大树，是城市里的大树。

我羡慕郊外的大树，有清新的空气，也有自然的规律。


城市里，空气太污染。我的工作向无尽路，永远无法完成。“绿化”这个工作，对我而言真的是太辛苦了。


可是，我有一天恍然大悟，发现这个世界本来就是一场场的轮回。一切都是有规律的。


春、夏、秋、冬，一季一季反复，一年复一年。

水也有水的轮回。从地、升天、结云、落雨，没人能挡。

人的生命也一样。生、老、病、死，一代复一代，一生一死。

啊！这是悲是喜？有始有终，跟轮回的无始无终要怎么比？

终永远是悲哀的。会想念，会回首，会有所牵挂。但还是要道别。

在地球事事的轮回，开始和终点都是自己定的。

喜怒哀乐，必定有起有伏，又何必牵挂？

有悲才会有喜。

庆兴我有悲，带出我的喜。
庆兴有终，带出新的开始。
庆兴生命有亡，带出新生命。
庆兴有水，带出滴滴落雨。
庆兴有寒冬，带出温暖春风。

庆兴恨，带出爱。

爱也不只是地球其中一种轮回的一小小环节，不在你我他的控制，更不在一棵大树的意识。

树枝雪花融化，树枝露水嘀嗒。树叶绿幽幽从生，树叶枯萎落下。树根深入土壤，一天依然倒下。

我始终是棵大树，只是一棵大树。

“一见钟情”是不是代表一个人一生中能钟情许多许多次？
“日久生情”是不是代表就算换了一个人也同样会恋上相处久的人？

这样一来，天长地久何时何地发生？

QueenPig is descending from her throne

Hi all,

Her Majesty will be closing down this blog.

Why?

1. Posting is too much of a hassle. Even when going out, QueenPig is too busy snapping pictures to be put on the blog in order to 'brighten' up the place. Her Majesty has not been enjoying herself as much as she likes. Life through a camera lens make one lose her original perspective.

2. Her photos are being misused. The photos are found at someone else's blog, blatantly plagarised. And Her Majesty hates being leeched on.

3. Her Majesty received quite a number of spams and vicious emails, commenting rudely not only on her, but on her friends. There is absolutely no need to subject her royal friends to such kind of verbal abuse.

4. Her Majesty finds it unable to blog about her inner-most feelings because she has no idea who is reading her blog. Tagboard died down after the initial hype, and people are not commenting. What is the use of blogging to an invisible audience (except those cowardy spammers)?

5. None of the above is true.

Interesting advertisment

Hi all,

Sorry for being MIA from blogging! Been going out and enjoying (yea right).

Here's something before I blog again soon! ^^


Apparently, China is also facing a shortage of blood. I think they better remove that common belief that they reuse the needles, make medical facilities have a 'cleaner' image, and the blood will start flowing in (pun unintended).

Nevertheless, the fact that this caught our attention means that it's a pretty good ad! I like the packet of 'blood' at the center! It looks real!

Donate blood, save a life (donate in Singapore, I mean)!
